Comprehensive Year Round Training
Professional Coaching
The goal of the ISC is to foster the growth and development of each team and player and have players participate in healthy environments appropriate to their age and development. The club does not mandate tryouts for each team, although some U11 and older teams do use tryouts to add players. That is why the core of many of these teams has remained the same for several years.
The ISC has several boys and girls teams ranging in age from U8 to U18. Teams have had success in Iowa and the Midwest region. Six ISC teams have won state championships since the club's inception in 1997.
ISC teams are guaranteed 65 training sessions per year and usually train twice a week in the fall and twice per week in the spring/summer seasons at the Hawkeye Recreation Fields off of Mormon Trek in Iowa City. Our competitive teams also train 4 times per month during the winter at various gyms in Iowa City, including but not limited to Kate Wickham Elementary School and Scanlon Gymnasium at Mercer. The ISC coaching staff attend a number of league and tournament games and organize various ISC events.
The club also offers programs for current ISC players who want more out of the club experience. The Super Skills program is a program to enhance each player's ability to maneuver the ball successfully. The Incentive Plan program is designed to improve the player's ability to strike the ball with different surfaces of the foot. These extra programs are provided at no additional cost to team players.
Joining ISC
The Iowa Soccer Club helps organize and administer teams, provides professional coaching, and offers a comprehensive year-round program. The ISC tries to accommodate individual players who wish to join already established teams or teams that are being formed. Players may be added throughout the year. Please contact the club for more information on joining one of our teams.
